Pros
I have tried this reel for steelhead. I was impressed with the speed of the line pick up.

Cons
The reel has an obvious flex to it when fighting bigger fish which can be a hassle when you get the fish close and it decides to run. The line can get caught on the reel. The line well is too shallow so you can't get enough backing on it without having your fly line past the spool.
