Pros
This is a very good source for Irish style shrimp flies and a moderately good source for mostly modern spey flies. The book is divided into regional sections, ie. West/Eastern North America and Europe.
Lots of historical background information for each region and recipes for each fly mentioned.
Cons There are no tying instructions or tips in the book. So, if you are looking for a tutorial, this is not the book for you.
Also, the are no photographs of the flies, only colored drawings. I think sometimes you need a good photograph to help explain things and this book fails in that respect.
