Sunken Firefly

Material You Will Need
Hook: Mustad 9671 #14.
Wincase: Black 1/8th Kreinik Ribbon.
Butt:  Fluorescent Yellow Kreinik Braid.
Body:  Peacock Herl.
Wings: 1/8th Mallard Kreinik Ribbon.

Tying Instructions

Step 1: Tie in the wingcase/shellback.

Step 2: Tie in the butt material, take three or four wraps forward, tie off.

Step 3: Tie in peacock herl, wrap forward, tie off

Step 4: Tie in the mallard ribbon, use a needle or something to split the fibers of the wing apart, separate so that they lay in a spent style.

Step 5: Bring the black ribbon forward and tie off; the wing case/shellback will help keep the wings separated.
